I am also a huge animal lover and enjoy raising hyline chickens as a hobby. They are looked after & raised to the highest standard & care by myself. They are very quiet & tame as they are handled daily. They are also egg laying machines!
About Me & My Small Business
Hello, my name is Rochelle. I was born and bred in Dargaville, Northland, New Zealand and have a huge passion for animals and the outdoors.
I enjoy the west coast beach, hunting wild game with my bow, 4X4 driving and horseback riding.
I first started raising hyline chickens in October 2021 and haven't looked back since. I love working with my customers and meeting new people though my small hobby business.

SHIPPING/COLLECTION:
I am able to ship older chickens/roosters on the pet bus (at your expense). Please contact me for pricing and I can recommend the best company and shipping rates.
Pickup from me personally in Dargaville is absolutely recommended. I am located approx 3 minutes from the Dargaville town center so nice and close to town. No driving down dusty gravel back roads and getting lost!
You can then see where the chickens are raised and cared for and meet me (and my animal family if you wish). Delivery to a collection point in Whangarei for $5 a box (approx 5 birds to a box) can be arranged Monday - Friday.
Day old chicks are pickup from me in Dargaville only due to how fragile they are and the fact that they need to be kept warm. I recommend bring a hot water bottle for me to fill with hot water for their journey home with you.
These must be collected within 1 day of hatching. I would recommend pre ordering these cuties to ensure you don't miss out as numbers are limited in each batch I raise and I can sometimes be booked out a month or two in advance.

The 12 hens I bought on 22-08-22 (Born 1-7-22). Started to lay 22-11-22. To date 17-6-23, 1652 eggs laid. Pretty good I think.
